At WWE WrestleMania XL Roman Reigns will break a long standing record.
As the longest reigning Undisputed Universal Champion in company history The Tribal Chief is no stranger to breaking records and at their year’s mega event he is ready to break more.
Heading into the 40th anniversary of the Showcase of the Immortals, Reigns will headline the second night defending his titles against Cody Rhodes. This achievement makes him the first champion to main event the Show of Shows two years in a row since it became two night spectacular back in 2020.
But, his record breaking accomplishments don’t stop there.
What WWE record will Roman Reigns break at WrestleMania XL?
The event also sees The Head of the Table become the first WWE Champion, since Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 1 in 1985, to headline the show in a non-title tag team match.
The first night at the Grandest Stage of Them All, Riegns teams with The Rock to face Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in the main event.
Also in this Universal Championship run, Reigns will become the first champion in history to enter his fourth straight WrestleMania surpassing another record previously held by The Hulkster.
While we’re on the subject of Reigns smashing Hogan’s records, when the leader of The Bloodline headlines both nights of WrestleMania XL he becomes the only WWE Superstar to headline nine WrestleMania shows. Hogan previously held the record having performed in eight WrestleMania main events.
Hogan was featured in the main event of WrestleMania from 1985 to 1987. After missing out in the WWF Championship tournament at WrestleMania VI he returned to the main event the following year before remaining in that spot until 1993.
