NCAA women’s basketball tournament 2024 is reaching the business end with the field for the ‘Elite Eight’ now set.
NCAA all-time leading scorer Caitlin Clark racked up 29 points and 15 assists as Iowa eased past Colorado89-68 on the Sweet 16 on Saturday.
Next up for Iowa is a repeat of last year’s NCAA final against reigning champions LSU. Coach Kim Mulkey successfully blunted the guard in that encounter with Final Four Most Outstanding Player Angel Reese making headlines by copying Clark’s “you can’t see me” gesture and pointing at her ring finger as LSU closed in on victory.
The Elite Eight – the quarter-finals of the annual NCAA Championship – take place on Sunday (31 March) and Monday a place in the coveted Final Four in Cleveland, Ohio on the line.
